Who We Are

Dr. Barbara Kovacs

Veterinarian

Dr. Barb Kovacs completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph going on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College graduating in 1994.

After working in private practice she decided to open her own practice, Quaker Hill Veterinary Hospital with the aide of her supportive husband Barry and her family in 1997.

Dr. Barb brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team. Having worked in small animal medicine for over 30 years. She is dedicated to providing the best care for your and your pet.

Dr. Megan Kovacs-Snider

Veterinarian

Dr. Megan Kovacs-Snider has been a part of the practice since she was a child. She graduated from her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph, going on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne in Australia. She is dedicated to ensuring the absolute best care for your pet.

Dr. Megan adores working with all animals big and small, scaly to fluffy. She focused on exotic and small animal medicine during her final year of her DVM.

We are excited to have her join the practice as a qualified veterinarian and to have her fresh perspective on board with the team.

Barb Hull-Armstrong

Veterinary Technician

Graduated in 1998 from St. Lawrence college, Barb joined the hospital in November of 1999. Her favourite part of her job is her long standing presence in her clients and their pets lives. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her son and fur babies; Lloyd, Stewart and Ollie.

Chelsea McGowan

Veterinary Assistant

Chelsea graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Seneca Polytechnic in 2019. Joining the hospital in 2022 she quickly became an integral part of the team. She loves learning new things and interacting with clients on a daily basis. In her free time she loves puzzling and hanging out with her rambunctious cat Freya.
